  • QAM – Quadrature Amplitude Modulation

    A modulation technique expressing an encoded signal through 16, 32 or 64 states.

  • QoS – Quality of Service

    Requirements for various parameters of the network transmission such as latency, maximum packet loss, etc. in order to ensure that the transmission conforms to the pertinent application. It is used most of all by multimedia applications, which require some minimum data stream parameters that must be adhered to uninterruptedly.

  • Q sig

    ISDN signalling for a connection of two telecommunication devices of the same level. It is implemented for all services pursuant to the latest ETSI specification: basic call, CLIP, CLIR, transit counters, name transmission (of the calling, called and connected parties), re-routing (immediate, when busy, if not answered), call intelligent re-routing, callback (when busy, if not answered).
